Hi all,

Currently, my process for making music is:
Record external instruments into the 303. Then after each session i back up everything onto the computer using a general electric xD Picture Card usb adapter. It works great! But still I fear everytime i take the smart media
Out of the sp, then into the usb adapter, then reverse that process, I am doing some serious damage. This is probably because of the thin nature of the card itself...has anyone experienced that smart media cards do not last long? They are uber expensive for how large they are, i would love to know how to maintain them for a long time without damage

Thanks!

Your biggest fear should be corruption of the card, not breaking it. Always use computer to unmount the card and never plug it into hardware that's already on to be safe. I ruined a card by removing it from USB adapter without unmounting it. But I've never had issues with it getting treated bad. If you keep it inside a reader, you should be fine.
