If anyone uses these 2 together I would like to hear about your setup and workflow.

I have both and am currently in a new phase of RS learning/mastery and it is really fun. I tried to incorporate my SP-404sx buy but I will need a mixer with aux to avoid feedback as I just had the SP patched into the RS ins and outs. I was trying to be able to record the SP to the RS and also RS to the SP (using the SP effects etc.) I wish one of the super compact Behringer mixers had an aux.

Thx,

O

That sounds like a wicked setup. Just a mixer, and a keyboard controller or synth, and studio monitors you're probably covered. Have fun once you're setup.

I already have a full studio setup across the room but the desk is small and i do not enjoy working creatively there- I have actually taken to working from my couch and coffee table. I can stream audio/music via bluetooth to my Mackie monitors across the room (via Logitech usb audio box)- nice to have some distance from the speakers while I listen to the latest BOC album over and over. I use headphones with RS though. The little Zoom H1 works great as a stereo mic for grabbing samples too which is great.

I am trying to figure out if i could utilize one of these nice little Behringer mixers in a way where I could monitor both the SP and the RS and be able to send audio to each other for sampling/effects and not create a feedback loop. Hurts my head to try and figure it out though right now- tired. The USB ones are really cool in that you can stream the audio to your computer and can be USB bus powered- one less power cord!

Ya I am trying for the smallest footprint possible. i have an older MX802A but again this is all getting crammed on my coffee table.
I think I could actually do it with the 302 as it has ability to switch the output destination of both the Line in and 2-track inputs so I could toggle the outputs to avoid feedback when sampling. The 2 main issues are just the quality of the unit which I hear a lot of complaints about noise and also i will need to split the main outs to feed both the RS and SP.

Id go with this for seventy bucks!!! Musicians friend has a big sale going on check it out cheap monitors and interfaces from a quick scan. Free shipping. Usually there no later than five days.

I feel like marketing scum. Mayb i could get a new job.

This Behringer MINI MON MON800 Ultra-Compact Stereo Monitor Matrix Mixer could work nicely as I don't need level control really and also nice that connections are on rear- could stack it. Routing is easy and from reviews looks like less risk of added/high noise floor. No pre or XLR input though which would actually be nice as I play bass and guitar and could see using that.

I ended up with the 302USB, it is great. You can power it from any USB charger and is small and built sturdy.

Howas the noise level because those Behringers always have USB noise. Or maybe its just mine or my computer.

Ya it seems to have USB noise sometimes but only with computer- not with AC powering the USB. I need to test it more and try unplugging the laptop.

I also use the SP-404SX together with the Behringer 302USB. Yes there is some white noise but after installing the Behringer USB driver, noise level was reduced. Then you have to play around with the SP output gain volume. I made good experience with +12db and the volume pot to ~70%
