Hello, this is my first post in the sp-forums, hey everyone :D
I just received my 404 today and I immediately i took off all the samples and patterns off the memory card so that i could lay some sample on the pads. Everytime i try to record a sample; press rec and then hit a pad, the rec button does not blink after, and when i press it nothing happens, and the screen displays "Prt". does anyone know the problem, and if so how do i fix it?

Sounds like your in pattern mode still. Press the pattern button to switch it to the normal pad mode. Your best downloading a pdf of the manual too, incase of more hiccups along the way.

memeory is protected, so you gotta read your manual to find the clues how to fix your problem

It could be that the protection slider on the card is set to LOCK. Check your card.
