how is this easiest done? some topics were talking about more complex midi arrangements but I am just wanting to know how to get both midi clocks in sync so both are playing audio in sync after I start a sequence?

probably by running a midi timecode from your daw into the 404 and microsampler and each of their audio signals into the daw or other recording device.

Can their clock's be synced without a daw, like hooking both up together through a midi interface, to record straight into a mixer both separate audio signals.

send midi out from the 404 into the midi in of the microsampler and make sure you if you send midi from channel 1 than set the other machine to receive on midi channel 1 as well. I dont have a microsampler though so Im not sure, but it should all be well outlined between both the samplers manuals.

the 404 doesnt have midi out.

you want the microsampler midi out to go to the 404 midi in, and make sure the 404 is set to ext. and the microsampler is set to internal clock

The 404 only got midi in... what's about the microsampler? Got it midi out? In my sezup i use an electribe as midi master. I bought a KENTON 5-MIDI-THROUGH... electribe (midi out)--> KENTON--> 404 (midi in) and KENTON --> Microkorg (midi in)...
