Could someone give me a better explanation of how they are using these two machines in sync via midi and also how to set that up I would really appreciate it I have both but I haven't really figured out how to get them working together I can trigger samples on the 303 with my 202 but I don't see how useful that is so let me know how you got yours sorted out

If you already can trigger the sample with the 202 then that mean you could sequence your sample using the 202 sequencer! Just make your beast then activate the EXTERNAL par ton the 202 (i think it's shift + bass but i'm not too sure) then add your sample while you're on record mode.

you now have your beat, samples (triggered with the 202), and a possible bass line (cause the 202 can do bass) all synced on the same machine (you could do different patterns also and stuff like that.

I don't know what happened but I can't even get it to trigger the samples on my 303 anymore it seems like it was a fluke that one time I don't really get how to set this up midi wise on the devices the manual isn't really clear to me

check the MIDI channel on the 303, and check what note numbers the pads are assigned to...and that it is set to receive clock I guess.
