Another question lol

I'm trying to create an acapella in Audacity or FL Studio, does anybody know how to do this? I would youtube it, but alot of video sites are blocked. The few text instructions I found didn't explain well. Just need to strip the track of it's music, just leaving the vocals. No access to a 303 or certain website and I have no instrumental version of the song either.

then its not really possible, at least in the way i'm familiar with it, what your supposed to do is have two copies of the track, one with vocals and one just instrumental, and you line them up and flip one of the wav forms (instro) with some tool, something called like phase inversion, it probably says it in your text explanations, its a function most DAWs have i think, but pretty much the flipped wav form causes phase cancelation with the vocals track, and so any audio that is shared between the two is phased out, leaving just the vocals and anything else that is only in the vocal track, but it doesn't really work that great alot of the time, i think the best outcomes would come from hip hop singles that have the instrumental and vocal track, and the instrumental is exactly the same arrangement as the vocal, and most important is that they would have to be recorded in through a very consistent and good quality line in

this is the sad truth. fortunately, many acapellas are available online as downloads. what were you trying to make an acapella of?

yeah man making a good pella is an artform of itself, and ppl out there already do it for pretty much EVERYTHING so best to just search/download.

Other things to look at when doing it yourself is centre-cancelling (404 has an effect for this, some other SPs might?) - because often sounds besides voice will be panned, but voice is usually smack bang in the middle, you can kinda elminate the side bits and keep the middle..

then other things like using very precise eq/filter bands, etc..
