I'm trying to make a loop of a sample of a continuous sound, like a chord being held or just ambient noises. I hear his like clipping noise every time the loop restarts. The sample is not peaking during any of the playback. I tried making a sample that loops fine on an DAW, but when I put it in the SP i still get the clipping noise. If I have a sample that does loop fine, when I resample it I get the same problem. Any way to fade the starts and the ends of the loop or any effect I can use to get rid of this noise?

you might have to try many settings to your start/end points, and hope you get lucky. applying pitch or chrom ps (but leaving the sample at its og pitch) can get rid of the click, but will also muddy up the sound slightly. try resampling with some fx

also you can try looping at the zero crossings on software, then importing straight into the 404..

okok i'll try that with the effects. I already tried what you were saying by using the DAW, but whenever I resample, I get the same problem... I see what you mean by getting lucky with the start and end points though... thanks!

no problem g, also you could make a poor man's crossfade by using mfx22 (subbass) and getting rid of the sine wave on knob 2, and fading using resampling with knob3 going right to left to right(in/out). then you can resample that sound with the fades, make an identical copy to another pad, then resample again, this time alternating between the two pads as they fade in/out, creating a crossfade..... yeeeahh

yeah i always experiment with adjusting the start/end points of samples to smooth out the loop.
