hi everyone!
i've got a problem with recording and i'd like to ask for advice.
since i don't have an audio interface yet, i asked my friend to let me record my tracks to his mpc and export the .wavs afterwards. i thought this would help me avoid freq cuts and shitty sound that i get recording through mic line-in. but when i opened the .wavs, the sound was still damn shitty. the bass is cut and more crucial frequencies are missing.
is it a problem of the cable (my cable is stereo), machine, my software or what? it hurts to make something i like and get shitty results once it is recorded.
i will be very thankful for your advice.
peace,
--m.

which MPC are you using to bounce your tracks? are you using at least 16 bit sampling rate? I mean, some people who like to sample in lo-fi could set their MPs in lower resolution... are your RCA cables/adapters working properly? most of the time those RCA cables are fucked up (since they are cheap as f@ck, I always recommend to use Monster cable, very expensive but worth and trusted)... also are your RCA outputs working ok?

it was the samples' fault... sorry for the confusion, it's embarrassing. i recorder two tracks and one of them sounded shitty because there was very little bass, my sennheisers extracted it but after recording it was almost zero. and the other track was ok. so sorry once again. peace.
