Hi to all, first of all, sorry if my questions were already answered.

-> How (and is it possible) to do something really nervous with the sp404sx ? I mean something like techstep and other shit cause I wanna do some double kicks and other fast stuffs and haven't find yet how to do that manually (even automatically).

-> When I'm on my sp404sx and I hit for example one drum kick, is it necessary to let pressed the button as long as I wanna hear the sound or is there a way to just quickly press the drum kick button and hear the complete sound of the drum kick cause it seriously limiting the global speed (for live or pattern creation).

Sorry for my poor english, stoned to the bone and at work...

Anyway, thx for your eventual answers.

i think i know what you mean. first of all, make sure you trim the beginning and end of your drum kick sample. then, hit it and make sure the gate button is not lit up. if it is, press it so thats its not. then your kick sample will play the entire sample back without having to hold it down. if you encounter a problem where it sounds like its skipping when your pressing it fast, then you may need to trim the start and end of the sample more.

really fast/ technical drums can be achieved better with a drum machine. the 404's sequencer sounds a bit more "fake" than my sr-16, but only with triplets and such. its still doable tho. you can lay down kick with the quantize at 16 and then change it to 16.3 to add little flourishes... also when having really fast double bass its good to have two kick samples instead of repeating one.

U switch gate mode on / off it changes between 'hold down sample to play' and 'tap sample to trigger'

then there is the 'sub' pad which re-plays the last pad you played..
so you can do rolls easier because u have 2 pads to hit rather than just one

this ^^. plus, don't forget about MFX 23 (on the OG) and whatever the stutter one is, as they can also make glitchy, twitchy stuff.

bonne chance!
