Fast forward 700+ days and I finally bought a clean Maschine MK1 yesterday!

Ready to bang out beats 24/7 on this bad boy (with the 303 on the side)

:lol: :lol:

Maaan. Sort of stuck on Maschine (2.0) yo. Been messing with it ever since I got the device and software.

The sampling features are phenomenal. The ease and speed of slicing is great.

Downside:
- The sequencing really is a struggle. Arranging and creating quick change ups throughout a composition, beat is really annoying. Besides that I can't even apply automation moving from scene to scene. NO they want you to duplicate a pattern and create changes per pattern/scene instance.

So they say to use it as a host then... I'm like naah son. I want to use it all stand alone yo. That's even more of a hassle.

Might go out and sell it (not my style too give up on a piece of equipment that quick but hey...)

Anybody else working/worked with Maschine? Recognizing these issues? Idea's?

I'm running the Mikro MK2 with 2.0. Lovin it, really. I like the visual slicing, so much easier for this old fart. Mikro is kind of small, much more menu digging, but overall, nice. I've been ignoring it lately cuz I just picked up Logic Pro X...really diggin it so far.

I'll never sell my 404...I figure one day when I'm too old to do anything, I'll hold it in my hands like a baby.

@jetson
cool I like the look of the Mikro. Not so sure about the menu digging though.. but hey. But alongside the SP should be a good combo.

Yeah I've been reading up on maschine 2.0. Figure I'm gonna continue to get some sort of a complete workflow going.

Just found out about the 'record-replace' function which is pretty sweet actually.

The effects in Maschine (reverb, delay, eq) really sound crappy imo. I'm looking for some fx vst which is light and works well in Maschine software standalone. Another obstacle that needs to be tackled. Let's see...
