I use my sony tc-131 sd's compressor and the 303/404sx compression effects.

Yeah I like it a lot, I got it for free when I lived in Seattle and worked at Interconnection computer recycling. I just took it apart and replaced the 5 drive belts for $30, repair guy wanted $80....I guess he doesn't know I'm lazy not stupid. I also warm shit up with my Luxman L-450 turntable amp.

theres one on ebay i am watching right now but buy it now at 100 seems steep for not having any other perks than a limiter. that FatMan Fat 1 is the compressor im currently researching. just got tax return and now i can add another piece of gear :):)

Yeah, they are dope but they always sell way too fucking high for what they are. I got mine for free and fixed it because the original owner thought it was broken, score one for thinking. Plus the other compressor mentioned in here sounds very handy.
In the mean time, this might fatten some sounds up. Haven't tried it myself, but it's said to add an analog style non linear type of processing.

Yeah, I;ve since used it and I agree! I also just scored a mint condition service manual for my Sony TC-131sd cassette-corder and it is amazingly informative and exciting to read as one of my current trips is rebuilding vintage audio equipment. New problem is finding shit in the hardware store that match worn rubber components that are hard to source to way over priced due to it's relation to vintage audio gear. Most of the drive belts are just specialized rubber bands that you might be able to find for a lot cheaper in an office supply type store or online retailer. It's like when a women shops for a "wedding" dress and automatically gets taxed hella hard regardless of quality in the end product, when they really should just tell the store they need a fancy or elegant blahablaha whatever dress and save their money/

Don't sleep on Cytomic "The Glue."

I'm tellin' y'all because I care. :P

I am curious about the "RNC." I was thinking about getting one myself.
It's a toss up for me between the DBX, RNC, and ART-VLAII.

The Vinyl Sim alone makes the 303 worth the purchase IMO.
