You could be right, I haven't found the time to play some of my most recent digs. When I get a dock for my iPad, I'd like to hook up my 505 to my portable turntable, and just see what inspires me. My mother used to listen to Herb Albert back in the day. If I find the one with the girl covered in whip cream at a thrift store, I'm going to grab that for sure. But any samba or Latin record would probably be worth a few beats to flip. I'm just starting slow with my diggings so far. I stick with a budget of about $5-10 bucks each time I go out. I'm open enough to some new sounds or styles. Finding stuff I'd prefer to find is for when I've got more dough to spend. Some records I buy would just be for listening to, like the Petula Clark ones for instance. If I could find a decent sample, then she's fair game, but more than likely I'll just play those for enjoyment.

Secretly cassettes offer more for me .. I'm the dude that will literally crouch down on my hands and knees for hours on end digging through horse shit Christmas records probably like a lot of you fools... yep cassettes are doing it for me lately.. it makes me listen to the whole freaking thing too which is a plus sometimes you can find that 3 or 4 second nugget that you need for the perfect composition...
