This could very well be the tip of the month. I figured this out while working with my sp this afternoon trying to make kits out of beatbox sounds. I was noticing that I was getting a lot of air sounds (plosive sounds that puff air..'b' 'p', etc.) and didnt have a pop filter, etc. I tried to make do blocking the air with a tshirt and later a tissue with good results, but they were too still too bulky.

The solution I found: plain old invisible (Scotch) tape. Take a piece of that and fit it over the mic hole... your sound will not be affected (that i can tell on multiple monitors and headphones) AND there will be no plosive sounds! This works great for vocals, sound effects, etc.

Damn, that's a cool little trick. Haven't tried it but sounds like it would work perfect, might finally be able to use that mic once in a while.

I was thinking of doing something like this but I was thinking overly complicated. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best!

Plus it's Christmas so I have scotch tape in, I never have scotch tape!!

Will try this out later. Thanks!
