Hey Everyone,

I've owned the sp404 for a while now, using it for sample manipulation live. But I'm trying to go beyond my standard barebones live setup.

I'm trying to get multitracks of my songs on different pads so that I or my DJ can apply effects to some of them live. (is. have the main backing on pad1 with synth lead on pad2 and percussion on pad3). The problem is that all the tracks have to be started exactly on time. If one gets punched a little late it'll be a mess, especially with bass or drums. Is anyone else doing this kind of thing live?

My workaround is to get my midi controller to output multiple note messages at the same time to trigger the appropriate pads. Works fine, except that I can't figure out how to apply effects to the midi-triggered pads. Is it possible? What am I missing?

Thanks so much for all help,
Paul

Bump

Anyone know if it's possible to use SP404 effects on samples triggered via Midi?

Thanks very much.

do you not have any access to the 404 while its being run by midi?? can't you apply effects to pads just like normal as the MIDI continues to trigger whatever??, just use the remain button and effect away!! unless i'm totally wrong and you don't have any control when its slaved to MIDI.....
