 Post subject: c.cANCELER_what is it really doing?

does anyone know what the c. canceler is doing. the manual one thing but im hearing another, sound like stereo separation till you twist the knobs around then its a whole other effects in itself.

in its normal state its doing exactly what it says, cancelling out the center so only the panned material remains

then it has a filter included to boost highs or lows

and the left or right ctrl 1 knob pretty much just shifts everything slightly on each side

i use it as a second filter after i use the isolater, like pulling a high hat out of a kick or getting bass etc. very handy

if i remember it can also cut out vocals from the tracks--is it true?

Which is pretty unlikely.
But the center canceler is definitely useful to extract tricky samples from a track.

pretty sure its just cutting out the middle frequencies. i don't think it has anything to do with panning. center is referring to the mids, so just the bass and treble will remain
