Okay, another basic question. I hear a lot of people talk of using a mixer with their SP's, I've seen them in the youtube vids....how do most people use a mixer in connection with the sp, recording gear and such?..I dont have one (yet)..but why should I get one??

there are a number of 'mixer' related posts already - people laying out their set-ups and how they're using 'em and such. i recommend using the search function and having a look. lots of good info there.
