I ditched my my 303 for reason...then ditched reason for an mpc then ditched the mpc for live then ditched live for the 404/505..now Im on the 404+555 plus a CZ-101.

through all that nonsense I realized simpler is better. I Think you will find if you switch from hardware to software you will end up with the same predictable patterns...the music comes from you right? A better idea might be to try to emulate other stuff just to break your patterns and learn new techniques. Then, once you have done that if you want to switch up your gear your not just doing it to break your habits but to expand and grow.
