I decided to stick to a certain BPM..

Here's a tip .. set your drums to the same BPM as the track .. on the 404 it's manual(can't really speak on other machines though) ..

it is well worth the effort and time .. what .. 30 seconds?

remember an interview I saw of Timbo .. saying he pitches his drum sounds to the same scale as the song
(not a clue what scales I'm using .. a few chords here n there ) so I don't do that

i tend to go with BPM that best suits my starting point sample. SP doesn't have turntable pitch, so however my chops work when I feed the SP my shit, that's the BPM of the track. Then I make everything else I sample work at that BPM.

There's more than one lucky number in the universe.

there is more than 1 lucky number ..absolutely ..

personally I want a project to flow as a continuation .. not fond of mixing fast tracks in with slower ones like the contemporary market likes to do .. 1 BPM per suite/ project should see me right
