i'm wondering if anyone here has tried using fl studio as a multitrack sequencer with an sp. i want the sp sound multitracked basically so i can adjust levels easier later/delete my samples with no worries. also be able to pan shit other than hard left and write and use some automation.

Last year, when I was still using FL Studio, i actually did this with my beats. I recorded drums, samples etc. individually, one at the time to FL Studio and then sequenced the the beat again. This gives you a lot more possibilities when mixing your beats.

ya my main problem with sps is mixing. i do music late at night, like up till 4am at times and my neighbors are assholes who complain if the musics too loud so i have to use headphones. then i come back the next day and the bass is too high or i missed something in the samples i should have tried to reduce through eqing or isolating and whatnot. and if i jammed a resample beat i'm fucked at that point. i can use my monitors and all that during the day but like i said i'm creative/focused more late at night.

I still do that half of the time after I've made a concept on the SP. Sometimes I only make drums in FL, bounce them to the SP, create a track and mix on the SP and then bounce back to FL studio to add some final EQ and/or compression and other finishing touches.

i would say do it, but I recomend to learn the 404 sequencer for making full songs too.

use fruity loops i f you want the highest quality, with exports from the 404, ultamite sound quality right there.
