yet another problem

people who have been reading this forum know I'm having problems with my SP-404 - So I wanted to upgrade to the newest OS to see if that would help...
the countdown gets to about 36 and then the display says FE6. Anyone knows what this is - or how to fix it?
I tried contacting the place that sold the unit to me, but it seems like they've closed...

be happy... On a mac you can't even get the update.

well, you can work around that (use a friends pc)
My machines is plain broke... (i think)...
Could it be the memory card? It's a Kingston 1 GB
