turned on my old 404 and the bpm was set to 97... (just like I left it)

WTF?! I got no clue how this happend... No joke!!! I'm damn sober atm too....

Now everything like it used to be... turn off/on -> 102... Maybe jus a bug?!
All them 404 bugs have a quit useful potential though, so hopefully there is a way to save the bpm. Never was a problem for me, but if there is a hidden function then I WANNA KNOW!!!!

* no replies cause people might think i'm lying but seriously that's the fucking truth. Anybody else had this shit before? Every bug on the 404 has a trigger /sth. that let's it appear, so i have a little hope to extend the 404's feature list once more. 8)

...yo and I also wanted to use this thread to say that I'm still waitin for the pattern editor (export and make a midifile out of it). ModulR had sth in the making but I guess he ditched it...

Wax, i'm sure you'll discover the secret.... maybe a combination of HOLD and time/bpm???

Always thought it was strange, the 404 can remember sample bpms but not pattern bpms....

It's like farting and sneezing at the same time, magic happens when you press two or more buttons on an SP.

Please find out wax!!!

Since you claim you were sober, I'm sure you can remember what you did to make it happen. ;) Right?

Is your 404 updated to the latest firmware?

I actually just had that happen to day for me on the SX I set it for 106 to get this loop to fit on a 4 measure and then turned it off took it to school 3 hours later turned it on to show a friend this sample I found and wouldn't you know it was still on 106 so yeah maybe it has something to do with using batteries because I had put fresh ones in that morning. Don't know but maybe look at it from that directions. it was nice though not to have to remember what I had set it for and adjust it. And yes I know 106 is close to 102 and I could have bumped it to 106 but I only checked to see what it was set at after I played it and I was like damn it played perfectly I even forgot to change the bpm first so then I checked it and it said 106 and thats not 102 so yep it happened. In fact I just checked and its at 103 now which is the bpm of the last loop sample I cut up. So damn mine is still doing it. I wonder if its because I have been turning it off when pattern is selected usually after listening to the loop for awhile a long while I think I let that loop run for about an hour. Now you guys will say oh thats because the SX saves the bpm but I absolutely sure that I was pissed the first time I made a loop and then turned it off and turned it back on only to find my loop didn't work took me awhile to find out what was going on. Any how have fun figuring it out but I think it might be batteries.

On the Sx (dunno about the classic) turn it off while the pattern is playing, next time you turn it on it should play at the set bpm for that pattern. (at least thats whats happen with mine).

EDIT :- i am also using batteries, dunno it if works with the power supply aswell, i will check that out!

Cheers :)

hmmm... the SX can do it, batteries or not...

i really like the idea of hold+bpm

I think all i did was pushing the bpm-button so hardly (after tuning on) so that CTRL2 got moved a bit and jumped back to the old position... them users with worn out potis might know this when fucking with the FX....

The classic 404 can not do this. I tried with batteries and without. Also tried with pattern playing and pattern stopped (in pattern mode).
