Sup yall! I just got ma spankin new sp404 and the shit is AMAZING!!! After a couple of days i was already getting used to the sp-404. i still am a student wit a bunch to learn tho. I was at the point of pattern sequencing when the quantization hit me...i know its supposed to set the patterns straight but what numbers (32, 16, 4, etc.) are used for what purpose? I figured out the 4 is for quarter notes ala snares but what would i use for lets say a 2 bar loop? a one bar vocal? feedback is greatly appreciated. thank u for ur time!

quantize puts what you play to the nearest note. The numbers just say how many notes within the bar. Most people use quantize for drums. usually quantize doesnt work too good for chops and shit.
