i don't have a tascam but why not?
it's a recorder/workstation right, you can use everything you want with it.

I'm thinking of getting a tascam to, now i use a Boss BR-600.

It's cool, just make sure you use good cassettes...and that it comes with a power adapter!
I'm stuck with using the 404's power adapter, and you'll get real paranoid about the batteries managing for you to record the complete track.

i got a tascam 414 mk2 portastudio and it was the best $80.00 i ever spent, it works great, basically i just record straight into it from the 404 then resample back into the 404 and export as a wav file, i suggest u snatch one up before they dissappear, either go for the 414 or 424, cant go wrong either way, oh yea and any high speed Maxell or TDK tapes work great with this, but u can use any cassette if you were wondering, good luck with your search 8)
