I was wondering if there is any way to trigger a sound from the 404 by using an electronic drum pad/trigger. It seems given the midi input that there might be a way but I'm not well versed on these things. Is there any "easy" way to do it? Anyone?

yes.. you can do it.. look up a beginners guide to midi or something on the net, and then have a read of the bit about midi in the manual.

The pad alone won't do it - you need the "Brain" to convert the basic trigger pulse from a drum pad to a midi note.
