 Post subject: sample speed

k im almost positive it cant but im just makin sure that theres no way to change the speed/tempo/bpm of a sample on the sp. . .i wud have to do it in say my DAW or something and sample it again?

that doesnt actually speed up the sample in any way, i want the sample to actually sound and play at a faster speed

no it absolutely does play at a faster speed, it just doesn't naturally speed it up and have an effect on the pitch as well, like a turntable would, and no, the sp does not do this, but lots of other stuff does

when i hit time/bpm while a sample is being held i can change the bbm inbetween 2 different numbers and when i do that it sounds exactly the same

ctrl 2 is for doubling the bpm measurement - makes no difference in sound, its just if youre working in 160 rather than 80, its easier to think about.

ctrl 1 changes the speed.. it is not a pitch control like you want though, it uses a granular process to shorten/lengthen / speed up/slow down the sample
