the 404 has a metronome

but if you want to sync these two boxes (both of which only have MIDI In) you'd need something that has MIDI out and also can be the Master Clock. also, you'd need to split this signal to get it into two boxes (can't chain due to the Dr90 and 404 having no MIDI Out).

so you'd have to buy something else (and probably a MIDI Splitter too), but I can't think of anything that simply sends clock and sync info. maybe have a look at some cheap sequencers or grooveboxes which have MIDI Out

hope that helps

yeah that's pretty mutch what i know already. Just don't know of any box of that kind.. i need the cheapest way to send midi start/stop and clock info.. have a multitrakc recorder allready so i really want something else.

and i didn't metntion but this is to use live, so i can give my live drummer a clickbeat.

A cheap drum machine? Alesis SR16's go pretty cheap, of course, they have a metronome sound of their own too. Plus you'll get a simple 12 track sequencer as the drum machine patterns can also send the notes recorded in them to the midi out as well as sending midi clock and start/stop.
