Okay has anyone else tripped off the fact that the 404 makes you waste alot of flash card space? I have 1gig cards that I know I am not filling up all the way but due to only being able to save 12 pads worth of sequences I know I am not useing the whole card.

2. As well I was wondering why if I save a set of sequences on (let's say pad 1). I cannot erase everything off of the 404 and start fresh because the sounds will be gone when I load up the sequence again. Don't get me wrong. If I load up different cards it is fine. But I don't see why if I fill up all the pads, then save that set of sounds. Why can't I erase all the sounds and fill all the pads again and just save it as another sequence on the same flash card. If I do that all the first sounds I save are gone when I load them up and only the sounds I just samples remain.

I know this sounds a little confusing but does anyone feel me on this?

I do the same thing with the drums. I wish you could just save eveything on all the banks as a backup. Thatd be very nice.
