Howdy,

Anyone got any tips on how to minimize clipping on the 404. I've sampled some banks from an old James Last record.....trust me...it's good. However, I'm getting some clips at the end of some (not all samples). I'm sampling at 118bpm as it's the closest to the timing of the track in question. Still, some samples noticebly (well to me anyway) clip.

Any advice would be much appreciated! 8)

instead of presetting the BPM, try takin a wack at marking it on your own with plenty of room on either side for adjustment, and sometimes either a small reverb or tape delay can help bring the two sides of the wave form together better, lofi (effect not sampling mode) can also sometimes get rid of the clipping i have found, you can also try maybe making two different versions of the same audio clip on different pads thruogh resampling, and then use the pattern sequencer set on twice as many bars as the loop and go between the two and slightly overlap the ends of them so it is trailing into the next loop a little, toss a little vinyl sim compression or lofi on them for better blending results, and i'm sure there are plenty of other ways, the reason for the actual clipping is nothing you can help besides changing the start points so that the wave form isn't jumping from the negative to the positive or vice versa too much (if it could stay on the same side it would be better, crossing at 0 point would be great), although you can't see wav with the sp so that doesn't really help

you can still adjust the end and sometimes start points when you record in with the bpm info.
