hey guys, i'm new to the forum. i've had my 404 for about eight - nine months now and as i'm trying to layer more and more loops the six note polyphony is very constricting.

i import all my samples from reason4 onto the cf card and into the 404 but they always sample in stereo. how can i either a) import samples in mono, or b) convert the existing samples into mono?

i understand that this is probably a common question, and to be fair i did search this and picked through about ten pages to find an answer but i didn't find anything.

much appreciated fellow electro pioneers!

cheers,
jim

use a convertor like DBPoweramp on your PC to turn a stereo sample into a mono sample

or,

Resample one pad to another, make sure to switch the Stereo light off (it will be on automatically), now your new pad is in mono. you can follow the instructions in the manual for this

peace
