Hey sp heads, I have a huge problem! I maxed a 1gb sandisk CF with patterns and samples. I ordered another sandisk 1gb CF, but when I put in the new card into the 404, the sample banks A and B were playing from my original card, and nothing was on the other banks and it wouldn't let me select them as a recording option. After that I put in the original CF card and the same thing happened the A and B banks were with my original samples, and the rest of the data was lost. If anyone can help me that be most apprieciated, thanks

sorry i cant help but i can suggest not relying on your card for backups. do file exports and archive stuff on your computer, i do this, i do DAL every couple days.

The sample baks A and B do not play from the Memory card, those are the banks internal to your x0x. The fact that you can't record samples on your new card could be because you did not format it.
The fact that your old card doesn't get read anymore is more worrying, could it be that you bent some of the contacts of the card reader while switching the cf cards? Take a close look inside the slot your card reader of your sp-404 and see whether any of the contacts is bent or missing.

Thanks for the feedback. Their is no damage to either card upon further look, but it is time for me to put the tracks on a omputer for safe keeping, your right. This unfortunatlly was the fire under my ass lol, man I lost some hot beats to!!! But luckily I write down eveything I sample and the BPM ect. so I can go back and re-create
