if you use a record player to sample from you can time stretch manually by changing its rpm
no loss of quality
no clicks

pete rock doesn't use half of the options on his mpc
and he still pete rock, so...

yep, and if you have a built in pitch correction on your TT (STANTON ST-80 for example) then you can even do this without pitch change.

yeah my Numark TTX is great for this

chopping from vinyl is great for the tiny pushes and pulls yoiu can record at the beginning/end of the chop

yeah its hard to get the right speed on a tt with only 2 speeds, like mine. I try to squeez that center tab with my fingers to slow down the record- it doesnt slow it down that much but it keeps the record at a steady speed.
