Super Pads is a new SP-404SX Pad Manager that supports way more features and automatic conversion of more audio / video types than the OEM software. Support is specific to the SX right now because I don't have any other the other samplers to test on. It is open source and support Windows (x64 tested), macOS (10.15.7 tested) and should support Linux but I haven't tested any flavor of Linux personally. Enjoy!

This looks really cool. If I have say 24 loops all at 93 bpm, all cut to 8 bars - and load them up via Super Pads into the SP-404 - will the loops be able to all play back in sync? I basically just want to fade in and out of the various loops, and sort of have them all triggered "on time".

Yeah that should work, I would set all the tracks to 93BPM and set the SP to 93BPM as well and that should work like you want.

Congrats on the project, this looks really nice.

I was just dusting off Bankrobber and uploaded a recent version but as we know Adobe AIR is pretty much dead so I was also looking into an Electron port but you pretty much did it already.

I will look into the codebase to see if I can contribute something.

FYI only the SX uses wav and aif files, the rest of the line uses the proprietary RDAC format but people on the VS forums reverse engineered it so there's a C decoder available on the net. I can send you some sample SP404 sound files if you want to look into a js port.

Again, beautiful work here.

Yeah I’d love to add broader support if you want to share those links!

This is basically the decoder:
https://github.com/randygordon/rdac

There's a Windows utility called rdac2wav.exe in the built folder that you can try for SP-404 files. I did it with the basic parameters and couldn't distinguish the wav from the SP-404 output so it seems to be good.
Just keep the LGPL licensing in mind.

After a little digging WebAssembly seems to be a good option to ship C code in Electron:

I think the bank parameter file is the same between the 404 OG and the 404 SX.
