Hey,
Are there any tricks to getting the sampling time right on the 404? Like, delay when initially hitting record, delay when hitting it to stop the sampling process?
I'm trying to sample the "drum beat" from my casiotone vl1 and I'm having some difficulty.

Thanks

Just record your drum sound without worrying about the exact timing. Then go back and trim the sample so that it "hits" like a real drum... you do this by using the MARK button and fine tuning with the 2 center dials... you can find info in the manual. Then you delete the unused portions... truncate.

you can set it to only start recording when it hears sound.

after a while you get used to the delay though.
