I tried the search but didn't find an answer. I've only used my SP at home so far and I'm planning to go on a road trip taking my SP along to spend the evenings with it. So how long can I use it before having to replace the batteries, should I bring a bag full or will 12 get me through like 10 hours?

from the 404SX Manual ( )
Ni-MH Rechargeable batteries: approximately 5 hours
Alkaline dry batteries: approximately 4 hours

From the 404 OG Manual ( )
Alkaline: 6 hours

wasn't that hard to Google that btw

 Whoops, I was so into browsing the forum that I didn't even bother thinking about looking elsewhere. I got my SP without the manual so I'll just download me a copy. Thanks a lot nevertheless! :D

Another cool trick to check how much battery life is left is to hold down to "Remain" button while your Sp is on and not plugged in. Your Banks will light up accordingly. meaning if all the banks are lit up, your at full battery. The Less amount of banks lit up, the less amount of battery lol pretty self explanitory.

just a cool trick to know if your on the road and dont know how much battery is left 8)

The display will also show the percentage of battery life.

I get my double A batteries from the Dollar Store, which I can always get plenty of for the price. I think only my SP202/Dr202, SP505, Kaosspad mini take batteries. I tend to prefer power adapters, but they are easy to misplace sometimes.

Good question. I had my blue light set to full blast, and I let 1 pad play for about 45 minutes, and I soon got a LOW message on the screen. Think it might depend how you use it. :?:

I find that energizer ultimate lithium batteries power my og404 for around 8 hours with the blue light off.

hey guys so I got my sp404sx about 3 weeks ago and I just found out that my sp doesn't work with the batteries in it. I've only tried brand new energizers from amazon nothing else, but I purchased the 9volt ripcord from my volts will this work??
