Hello spforums, been a lurker since forever and wanted to share this little find I had. Not sure if this has been posted before, but it's not a very hard trick at all.

Explanation: You can still edit the level of a pad after you hit it while Dakim beat delay is active. Sorta like a ghetto velocity sensitivity I guess.

can you show a useful instance of this trick? How it's best applied? I'm not sure I understand what this could be used for...

Instead of having multiple pads with the same hit at different volumes, in practice, you could create the pattern you want without taking up a whole bank. This is only applicable during Dakim's delay because even though you are editing the level, it doesn't affect the original hit you played while it was active.

Good tip, Verismoe. 'Spose this will also help avoid super saturated levels of distortion, you could kill a PA with Dakim's style if you're not careful. Check all the distortion in the 2nd half of this set, not sure if that's from the recording or the PA but that room would've been LOUD.
