I synced up my 404 to my mac the other day and it was a true pleasure!
I recorded my beat in multitrack in logic plus i could add extra synth stuff from reason via rewire.

Have anyone else synced their sp with a computer? I will be using my 404 mutch more now for creative chopping and then syncing it. Now i have the best of two worlds: autochop in recycle and überinspiring manualchop on my sp=)

you take one midi cabel from your computer out to you sp404 in. when you turn on your sp you hold in the time/level button and turn knob 2 to auto.

now make your daw send out midistart/stop and everytime you press start on your daw your sp will play patterns in sync with the computer:)

now if you use f.ex. the isolator to mute some samples you can multitrack your beats:)

hell yeah
sometimes i program MIDI in my computer, controlling the 404. then I set the 404 to record and then let the MIDI track play = intricately programmed patterns (with varied velocity settings) recorded into the 404 and thereafter portable and able to be tapped to tempo!
