Whats up people? I just got my sp404 a few days ago. Been staring at it for awhile and finally decided to pick it up. It's very user friendly and my face has been in the manual every time I use it. But, I havent stumbled upon, neither in the manual or in the forum, if there is a way to copy a pattern onto a different pad. Is there a way to do this, or do I have to keep playin the same drum seq out to do my hook, verse, etc.? Thanks peoples.

i always use pad bank A/B for this (might be the only way you can do it): make a back up of a pattern, move the pattern to a memory card bank, load back up, repeat as needed.

when you back up, doesn't it save everything from the banks? Thanks for the info.

Just go on youtube and search for "sp-404 pattern copy" there's a video on how to do it.

it may seem tricky at first, but once you do it a few times it becomes second nature.

Also if you have a card reader on your computer you can copy the pattern file as many times as you wish (and rename properly) and you have 10 copies of a pattern in 2 minutes...

when u back up it only saves bank A n B. I wish it backed up the whole card...but w/e.. im assuming roland did this thinking that we where gonna use expensive-as-hell CF cards as if they where floppies and save each beat we make on its own card :)
