Hello guys! (Sorry for repeating, I hope it'll attract more attention here)

I got the problem. When I play 5-6 samples-loops simultaneously, using the external MIDI sequencer, there's a little delay between these samples. They are not perfectly in time. It's like the samples start to play not at one moment of time, but with a little time shift. As a MIDI sequencer I use an iPad with iRig MIDI. I tried different software - Genome, Cubasis - it's this annoying delay everywhere.

Could you help me with this? It's really irritating...

Try keeping your samples 1 bar length max and retrigger them with your external sequencer every measure (more often is better). I've used external gear to sequence my 404 with no issues. I don't use long samples and I make sure my samples are truncated and my start/end points are tight.

Also make sure the sounds on your 404 are not set to "loop" mode.

Thank you for the advice!

I'll try to make my samples shorter and tell you what the result will be.

My samples are made in Cubase, so they are of the same length - tracks with drums, bass, several kinds of percussion. When they are played in Cubase everything is good. Also, when I make a pattern consisting of all these tracks-samples in 404 - it's fine too. But when I trigger them from an iPad - that's when shit starts to come out! :D Even the buttons lights on 404 start to shine not at the same moment.

Another thing to remember is that the 404 has a max poly of 12 mono or 6 stereo samples. When you hit the poly limit the 404 will cut the longest playing sample first.

I will try to sequence my 404 with beatmaker2 later if I can find my USB midi adapter and camera connection kit.

Yeah, I remember that! I experience these problems with 5 stereo samples.

I've made a shorter samples. It didn't solve the problem.

Also, I've noticed that when I play the drum track in loop mode on 404 it sounds as it meant to sound. When I trigger it from Cubasis, also looping it from there, it feels like the sample doesn't play till its end, starting to play again a tiny bit earlier. Both in Cubase, where I made this sample, and in Cubasis the tempo is 90 bpm. But it feels like tempos are a bit different. I tried all three sync modes, nothing changes.
