 Post subject: backup 404

ok so im a lil confused about backing up the 404. i will be able to backup all my samples? so say i do a backup because i wanna play a show with the way i have everything setup on the pads but im out of room to make new beats at the moment. ill be able to backup my current pads, delete em, record new samples to the pads to make new beats, and then later on load the backup for live shows like i planned? thankkkkkkkkkkks guys

Don't mess with the backup system the 404 has. It's pretty horrible. Instead get a CF or SD card reader for your computer (depending what model 404 you have)

Make a folder on your computer and name it "live set backup" or whatever you want to name it. Drag and drop all the files from the card to your PC. Delete the files on the card and you'll be able to start fresh.

To load backup just drag and drop your backup folder back to the memory card and rename the folder "ROLAND" or whatever the 404 originally names it.
