I have a kaossilator that hisses through the phones jack, but not the RCA. THe RCA has no volume control. HELP!!! I want to play this thing into the 404 ext source rca's.

treat ext source like a sample-pad...
hit it, then press "start/end/level" and adjust the volume with CTRL3...
(unlike a sample pad, it's on max vol everytime you put on the machine)

Yeah, it's on page 24. If that doesn't work then Remain + Ext Source (to select it), Start/End/Level, Ctrl 3 for volume.

There's also another setting, for Input Gain (Page 39): Func + 11, Ctrl 3, Rec for saving. But that's like, if it's clipping or something (peak indicator and stuff).

I don't remember the og 404 having any of these, guess I just didn't spend enough time with it/read the manual enough.

Edit: og has the same Ext Source level setting but no input gain setting.
