 Post subject: midi triggering of 404's patterns?

i know you can trigger the samples on 404's pads via midi. but let's say i record a bunch of patterns on the sp-404. can the recorded patterns be triggered via midi from an external sequencer?

Manual has nothing on -selecting- Patterns via MIDI- only triggering and sync- looks like selection is left to the user.

From reading this thread:

it appears it is not possible to trigger 404's patterns via external midi.
