heyhey,

got my sp404sx a few months ago and i really became very fond of it.
but when i record patterns, i could go mad!!!!!!! ;)

let's say i want to record a 4 bar pattern. i make my prerecording adjustments, start recording, play my samples so far so good. but then the sp adds another 4 empty bars at the end of the pattern.

i'm pretty sure, it's a very noobish problem. but it sucks anyway. anybody with a solution?

sup nicht. does it "add" them, or were they there to begin with? That is, did you set the 'length' to '4'? (that's prolly part of your "pre-recording adjustments", just making sure...)

Okay, now if you DID, then it's possible you're counting those 4 bars in double time (in relation to 404), in which case they're actually only 2 bars (according to the 404). In which case you be should be all set setting 'length' to '2'.

that fix fings?

hm, it seems like "adding". this appears only when i play samples/loops that have the same (or longer) bpm and length like the pattern i want to record. everything works fine when i program drums or short chops. so i think it is not a bug or anything. it actually makes sense. but is there a way to avoid this?

thanks for the quick answer!

Sometimes they just need to be dunked in water for a couple minute to activate the awesomeness. It could be that.

put your samples from 'loop' to 'one-shot' (i.e. not looped).
