So i noticed that when a long sample is on gate, You can switch sample banks and as long as you hold the pad that the sample was on, it will still play. If you let it go it stops.

Uses?

For example, say you have a beat on pad1-bankA and you wanted to stop the beat halfway through and play another track that was on pad3-bankC.

Press and hold pad1-bankA > Switch to bank C >(wait til desired stop time) Let go of pad1, and press pad3-bankC simultaneously.

basically an instant way of changing beats that are in different sample banks.

lol damn bad post. i just realized you could just press hold right before the next track. So basically its a pointless trick but still something remarkable i guess.

yea I've caught myself physically holding a pad in a different bank like that and then I remembered I could just use hold. It's still cool though, it could be fun if you're jamming across multiple banks hah

You mean like 2 different patterns? If so, the only way to make that happen is by either stopping the other one at the same time, or if you use "delete mode" you can play it and it automatically cuts the other pattern out, but then things get tricky after that. Why not just incorporate the fill into the pattern? You could always remake the pattern you're working with, but cut it shorter and have the fill in it, then arrange it so it plays when you want.

yes like to 2 different beats (patterns)
something like in casio/yamaha keyboard. we have option "start" "stop" and "fill"
whene click on "Fill" drum rolling and main beats stop and again continue to main beats.

i know "delete mode" but its not good for Led lights? its continue blinking..

i need delete mode typ..... whene beats playing in pad 1 and i click pad 2 beat change instantly. (pad 1 beat stop) its possible in pattern mode?

i dont know how to make pattern.. can someone please give me pattern file to load in my SP 404?

sorry for my bad english.

you been here for 3 years and don't know how to make a pattern??? you frontin?? what do you mean beat pad 1?? like a sample of something on pad 1 that you triggered??? so when your done with playing the fill on pad 2, do you want pad 1 to come back in right where it would of been timing wise if it had been playing the whole time??

there is no such thing as having a track mute like that in response to triggering another pad, what you have to do is resample the sounds you want to multiple pads and mark it appropriately, and use gate and/or loop mode so that you can play everything live right in front of you, try and play it how you want it, see what doesn't work, think about what sounds you need to come in when, and resample and mark things until you can play it how you want

yes i have imported loop "Waltz" beat sample on 404 pad 1 and pad 2. now i want to add this sample in pattern sequencer.
sample (1.wave) on pad 1 Waltz Beat
sample 2 (2.wave) on pad 2 Waltz fill

i want to play this in pattern. start with pad 1 main waltz beat and i press pad 2 for instant play "Fill". and contiue to main beat waltz.
