If you are using a DJ mixer that has an effects loop, I would put the KP3 in that effects loop and practice everything to understand the effects routing (effects loop is wildly different for each unit).

IF no mixer, then I would just run the MPC out strait into the KP3, W/O MIDI. You have freedom this way to interpret your MPC tempo in half and double time on the KP3, but you can also throw on the auto BPM if you get tired of dialing up the tempo every time.

You can do stuff like double your MPC tempo, sample a loop from the MPC onto the KP3 at the same tempo, and then turn your KP3 tempo back to the true tempo, and create a more crunchy texture. There are a lot of fun tricks like that.

also worth mentioning is you can live bounce 1-3 loops+the effects you apply onto the 4th loop slot, thus freeing up 3 more loop slots and letting you layer more effects..

Can you please explain ti me how you do this? i got the KP3!but that is stumping me! thanks!
