both ways is cool. drag and drop the files is good for keeping them hifi and for if your soundcard buzzes or has hiss .

My mic input on my computer sucks too so i always export through a card reader as well.

As far as sampling though, drums is always through the RCA. Lately ive been sampling a lot of chops from wavs i ripped from youtube videos.

does anyone notice the weird youtube frequencies, this is how to best get rid of them, sample in stereo from youtube, then you can seperate the left and right into seperare songs and if your lucky the mght be panned tracks, like drums on the left bass on the right, its importants to due this to scramble the mind control frequencies in the youtube audio. then when you have it like that you can further scramble the frequencies by bouncing the sample to tape, or grab the audio with a mic from a speaker (to tape), this should be enough, just something i noticed i guess.
