well i got a sp 404 maybe a month ago and its been working great. but when i tried expanding its memory, something went wrong. i pressed cancel + remain and it wont format. the card is a 1GB Ultra II and is perfectly fine. it just wont format. when i press cancel remain the manual says the buttons c/g through f/j are supposed to light up but they dont light up at all and when i press delete it only comes up with DAl.

i reeaally need some help here, thanks in advance!! :D

Flash card simply sounds incompatible. Maybe I'm wrong...

Make sure the card is all the way in. After holding Cancel + Remain the letters FMT should appear in the display.

MAybe try a new card? Those cards are real cheap, I got mine from Best Buy for about 10 bucks. The one I bought is a Transcend Compact Flash card and it works great.

Good luck! 8)

Yea, I've heard of problems with memory cards if they've already been formatted to say a digital camera or whatever...

Good luck
