Anyone else notice any lag when resmapling on the SX? I don't recall this happening on the 303, but on the SX.. often times as I hit the pads, it triggers the sample late. It's pretty annoying. ugh!

are you using the memory card that came with it or a different one? I had some real problems with that when I had my 404 and I didn't even think about it being due to the memory card so i sold it...only later to read something that made me think it was due to the CF card i had in there.

i haven't noticed any lag resampling with mine although i just got it, i'm using the SD card that came with it for reference.

hope you get it sorted, when i had the 404 it was a total downer.

...however, i think the real solution though is for boss to release a 303sx with more banks, SDHC, DJ FX EFX, 12 pads and the function business (i'd ask for pitch, but that just seems greedy ). or just go all out and make it 12-bit with an analog filter and no aliasing filter when pitching ala sp-12/1200. although then I would flunk out of school, loose my job and my girlfriend would probably leave me...so i guess i see why they wouldn't want to unleash such a beast, it's really an act of compassion/damage control on their part.

Yeah, the lag is killing me... especially since I don't really use the sequencer... I pretty much bank on being able to resample. You might be on to something with the SD card... tho, I'm using the one it came with. I have a fast SDHC card in my camera, so I'll pop that in tonight and see if it continues to lag.

+1 on the 303SX! lol! I swear roland is such a weird ass company.. So much right in the boss days, and can't seems to see the greatness in it.

hmmm, hopefully the new card fares better. I know what you mean about resampling being key, I absolutely did not do well with the sequencer on my first 404 for whatever reason. then as soon as i copped a 303 I made a sketch that I was stoked on with just resampling in like 20 minutes. I dunno, using resampling instead of the sequencer just feels more akin to painting or drawing to me, more immediate and visceral

So I threw in a 32mb/s 8GB card from the camera and the problem is fixed. I guess faster cards in the SX are definitely a good thing for resampling. Granted 32mb/s is kinda excessive.. but hey shit works nice now considering I was ready to chuck it out the window. :D

yeah i've noticed that lag too. it usually only happens on the 2nd sample i hit after i start resampling and then doesnt really come up again. Its pretty easy to just let it messy up to begin with then play it properly afterwards and just cut it up with the marker after you've got it how you want it.
