hey, just got my 1gb flash card today and got the samples I wanted on. put it into the sp 404 (folllowed the booklet) then I couldnt play the samples on the machine??? Got a couple working, Then lost them again!!!

what folder in the card am I meant to be putting them in? Naming samples and how long can a sample be?


really made me all graaaaaaaaaa today, should be simple!!!

Sounds like a bad CF card. This is exactly what happened to me with a 1Gb Dane-Elec.

You just put the samples in the card, if you put them in any folder then you're not going to be able to import them. So you probably did it right and the card is acting up. Name only matters for order purposes and I don't think there's a size limit - you could have up to almost 1Gb on a single pad.
