Has anyone figured out an efficient way to change effects across a bunch of pads? So, for example, if I've got the slicer on pads 1, 2 and 3, and coming into the chorus I wanna drop this effect and have reverb on pads 4, 5, and 6, is there any easy way to do this?

I mean, other than holding remain, clicking pads off, changing effect, clicking the new pads on and letting it go.

Any tricks anyone's figgered out to make this simpler?

yeah, i was hoping to not have to do that. i'd like the 2nd effect to be added and removed like the first one...

My suggestion would be when you turn off the fx on the first pads then hit the new pad on the one like a dj would and stop it before the snare so it's in time and on beat then add the new fx, and then do the same with the remaining pads but hit the remain button. With an sp there usually is no easy way just a more skilled way, if dj's can do it live with records, you can learn to do it on a sampler too. Good Luck

that's a nifty workaround - props to the good doctor. i'll give that a try.

and i like what you've said there about 'with an sp there's usually no easy way, just a more skilled way'. i agree with that. i feel like i'm developing skills on the box, you know?

knowing different people's tricks is really helpful, but i suspect we all use the tricks differently cuz they fit w/ our skills and needs differently.

anyhoo. fanx.

i don't know if i'd agree with "pure expression and creativeness"...pure expression would be being able to use more than one effect at a time, and not needing to try and track down some crazy workaround.

but i do know what yr saying. and i'm not bitching.

honest.

If you want a better example of what I mean listen to one of the beats I posted, towards the end of some you can here me turn off the sample then turn it back on to the beat like a dj cutting in, then you've pressed the button to add fx to while keeping on beat.
