What's funny is if you dig a lot, you'll find that a lot of Madlib's beats are straight loops of lesser known or harder to get vinyl tracks. No expansion pack need, just dusty fingers and portable turntable.

NEW PATTERN PROBLEM

I read the manual and I´ve searched the forum ... I am wondering if it is possible to copy patterns to a blank pad.

example: 1st pattern is a bassline, now i want to copy that whole bassline to another pad so that i can add some hihats and so on.

I know i can copy the pattern to another pad but it´s only like moving it from 1 pad to another, not having 2 egual patterns.

any hopes I can do that?

I made a post about this back in the days when animals could talk and this forum just started.

viewtopic.php?t=4

Perhaps Keesj could make this a sticky?

Thanks for that interview Rob :D

That's my favourite part:

Quote:
I don't like to spend more than 10 minutes at a time on a beat. I get bored and have to move on to the next thing. I'm not like Dre; I don't take a week on a snare. Maybe I should, though!

:P

no doubt, I love dre, but all this detox shit is really taking him way too much time. I know he's perfectionist but... WHAT THE FUCK? HOW MANY YEAAARS MUST WE WAIT??

edit: I just realized that I made a little offtop here, sorry for that :)
